Human error has long been known to be the leading cause of industrial and combustion-related accidents. Most industrial sites have personnel that are not adequately trained in the safe start-up/shutdown of combustion equipment, daily operations, or proper testing and maintenance. The risks of explosions, fires, business interruptions and even loss of life can be minimized if personnel are taught the basics of boiler and fuel-fired equipment safety. The recognition of unsafe conditions can enhance the safety and efficiency of your operations. CEC Combustion Safety addresses this need by providing comprehensive combustion safety training services. CEC’s expert staff of professional trainers has educated thousands of people including managers, operators, skilled trades, and risk/insurance personnel throughout the world. Courses can be customized to include demonstration equipment, simulators, learning labs, and equipment-specific presentations. Course offerings include:
These modules can be mixed, matched, and customized to your site's equipment and needs. Training Options CEC Combustion Safety offers both onsite and online training sessions designed to provide the company with a long-term sustainable program for maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the fuel-fired equipment at the site. This combination allows plant personnel to benefit not only from an intensive, hands-on onsite combustion safety training course, but will also provide access to a year-round online training system to continue to supplement their knowledge. A “Train the Trainer” Package is also available as an intensive 40-hour course to train select personnel at your facility to be able to redeliver the course material. This package delivers face-to-face training, materials, demonstration equipment, and support materials used by our instructors. Also included is a custom-built, fully functional fuel train demonstration unit that allows anytime training and skill review.
In correlation with these training programs, CEC also offers its industry-exclusive Combustion IQ knowledge assessment program. Combustion IQ is a test that helps to identify your staff’s understanding of vital fuel systems and combustion equipment knowledge. A test will be given prior to assess knowledge gaps amongst your facility’s staff, and a post-training assessment will provide an evaluation of the knowledge gained throughout the training course. CEC training workshops will dramatically reduce the risk of combustion systems accidents, enhance safety efforts and cut costs. Additional benefits include:
