Preventive Maintenance & Training Program |
|
This 40 hour intensive program includes
2 days in the classroom and 3 days “field shadowing”
testing on the site’s actual combustion systems. The
shadowing involves plant trades shadowing our trainer/auditor
and then actually conduction testing/inspections themselves.
NOTE: These are real tests that will identify failed
safety interlocks that may need immediate repair or
require equipment being taken out of service.
Classroom Hand-on Training
Our instructor will deliver theory segments using PowerPoint
slides, videos, hands-on demonstrations with the gas
train station. The practical (hands-on) section requires
students to demonstrate a number of skills in the classroom
and on actual plant equipment. It also includes and
extra session that addresses Tools and Instrumentation.
Our custom-built demonstration gas train is a tool that
will address your testing needs by simulating actual
on-site equipment. This unit is nitrogen powered with
safety pressure relief and custom designed controls
for hands-on practical training technique demonstrations
and skill development.

Field Shadowing
Approximately 50% of the program is field shadowing-inspections. This involves students following (shadowing) our instructor / auditor as they complete the CEC interlock and tightness testing. This approach gives students the opportunity to apply classroom sessions, to ask testing and equipment specific questions, and to build the foundation that will allow site personnel to perform safety testing.
Equipment Specific Written Testing Procedures
The heart of this program includes safe and efficient written PM procedures. Systematic combustion testing procedures are customized the units it specific configuration. Visual resources such as photos, call out boxes, and arrows are used to highlight specific points or steps. The program includes hard copy and electronic versions for future safety system changes.
Suggested Audience: Personnel responsible for operating,
troubleshooting, or maintaining fuel-fired equipment.
