Obsolete Dynamic Self-Checking Rectification Flame Amplifier – Honeywell – R7847C Amplifiers

AUTHORIZED 7800 SERIES DISTRIBUTOR ANNOUNCEMENT OF OBSOLESCENCE OF R7847C DYNAMIC SELF-CHECK RECTIFICATION FLAME AMPLIFIER

Attention Purchasing and Sales

The R7847C Dynamic Self-Check Rectification Flame Amplifier was introduced in 1991 with the 7800 SERIES control family.  The R7847C Dynamic Self-Check Rectification Flame Amplifier and C7012E/F Dynamic Self-Check Ultraviolet Flame Detector were used in applications that required continuous operation.

This product has been successful, but is reliant on dated technology.  There has been solid state systems introduced over the last several years, which have replaced the R7847C in many applications.  Due to the continued difficulty sourcing components for the controls, Honeywell Burner and Boiler Controls has decided to obsolete the R7847C effective December 31, 2004.

As the R7847C is unique, we will stock inventory for in-warranty returns for a period of 3 years. You may enter orders for these products until November 8, 2004.

Recommended replacements for the R7847C are:

• R7861A, Dynamic Self-Check Rectification Flame Amplifier and C7061A/F, Dynamic
Self-Check Flame Detector.

• R7851C, Dynamic Self-Check Optical Flame Amplifier and C7961A/F, Dynamic Self- Check Flame Detector.

If you have any questions, please contact your local Honeywell Sales Representative or me.
