The primary role of the Field Service Technician I or II is to provide combustion service and problem resolution at customer sites. Works with limited supervision and review; and has direct contact with customers up to 25% of the time.


Duties & Responsibilities:

· Perform service calls at customer sites both mechanical and electrical

· Troubleshoot and determine causes of problems with combustion equipment

· Prepare service reports

· Develop and perform customer training

· Perform preventive maintenance, safety audits, energy audits on combustion equipment, industrial burners, low emission burners, BACT burners

· Provide on-call emergency telephone support on a rotating basis

· Conduct Stack Test

· NOx reduction

· Combustion Technician

· Emissions Analysis


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Associates degree or technical certification in electrical or mechanical

· 1-2 years experience in mechanical/industrial repair, assembly, or fabrication

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, IRI, etc. standards

· High mechanical aptitude

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Ability to work in industrial environments with extremes of noise, heat, heights, and confined spaces

· Basic computer skills · Ability to travel up to 25% (overnight)

· Experience as a Burner Technician (preferred but not required)


Physical Demands

· Must be able to carry 50lbs and climb ladders


Work Environment

· Frequent site visits to industrial sites that may involve exposure to heat, noise, and large industrial equipment
